- Welcome to Drag Racing Life!
This is the site to find weekly events at various drag strips in the Southeast as well as Division II points meets, Southern Stock Super Stock Association events and information, big money grudge races, and any other exciting events taking place in the South.
As an avid fan of the sport of drag racing for 30+ years, and a participant for over 17 years,
drag racing is more than a hobby to me, it a passion. Every time I'm at the track, whether its
watching friends race, reporting on the action, or participating, its as exciting to me as the
very first time I stepped foot in a drag racing facility.
We're blessed down here in the South in the fact that we can go racing in February while others can't see the staging beams for the 2 feet of snow on the track.
My purpose for the site is to bring the Southeast action to you, the fan or fellow racer looking for all the racing events in one easy to find place. I will continually be updating the site with all the hottest events at various tracks in the Southeast.
If you know of an event coming up or want to have your event added here, please feel free to send me all of the information. I'm looking forward to adding various events to help everyone find something in their area. Also to promote new events to help in the success of future events.
LATEST Southern S S/S Association EVENT
Wow what a great turn out we had June 27th and 28th. There were guys from all over the southeast doing it big! If you weren't at SGMP you missed some great racing with some big names in the sport. Scott Helms in his always potent Chevy Impala and newcomer to our association but leading the points in the stock eliminator category, Robbie Shaw brought his Firebird and ran with us. In the end it was JJ Canero playing the part as the spoiler to all the old timers. Keep an eye on this kid in only his third race behind the wheel of the car. If he keeps this up he'll be going places! All of this excitement and this was just Saturday! Sunday started out even more exciting than Sunday but after the dust settled and we got things under way it was close down to the stripe class racing until Mother Nature had a different idea on how to end our event and we will be finishing up at race number 5 in Reynolds Ga. Don't forget July 25th and 26th! Make plans now to be there for race number 5 and 6 on our schedule. This will be the last race until September.
